On Tuesday the 25th of October we had the pleasure of welcoming internationally acclaimed author Louis de Bernières to the Royal Air Force Club.

Pamela Burke joined the WRAF in January 1940 straight from Gerrards Cross Convent School as an ACW and after a brief initial training managed to get her choice of posting to the ops room at Biggin Hill despite still being only 17 years old.
It is with great sadness that all in the RAF Club mourn the death of our Sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II, who had been our Royal Patron since her accession to the throne on 6th February 1952.
It is with deep sorrow that Buckingham Palace has announced the death of our Patron Her Majesty The Queen.
Her Majesty passed away peacefully this afternoon at Balmoral Castle.
On 26th July and 7th August, the RAF Club hosted our annual 50 Year Receptions in which we celebrate those members that have been with us for over 50 years.
Following on from the creation of the RAF Regiment & Associated Forces' Badges area on the ground floor of the Club and the huge success in mounting no less than 24 badges there in 2021, the project continues with the presentation of two more badges on 22nd July 2022.
