The Royal Air Force Club had great pleasure in inviting all Members who joined the Club in 1999, to attend our annual 25 Year Reception and Lunch on Tuesday 20th August 2024.
As Kathryn Cooper retires after 38 years of remarkable service at the Royal Air Force Club, we were proud to celebrate her extraordinary career with a special event this afternoon.
As a benefit of membership, the Royal Air Force Club offers reciprocal arrangements with over fifty private members’ clubs throughout the world. These include clubs in the UK, Ireland, Europe, America, Australia, Asia and the Far East.
24th November 1930 - 25th July 2024. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Air Commodore John Mitchell, aged 93, who had been a Club Member for over 40 years.
22nd April 1944 - 22nd July 2024. Air Marshal Sir Peter Norriss, an RAF Club Member of over 57 years, has died aged 80. He tested the Prince of Wales during his flying training before flying Buccaneer and Tornado aircraft.
We were delighted to host a very special reception this afternoon for those reaching the half-century milestone of membership of the Royal Air Force Club.
The Club is carrying out a refurbishment project to improve the facilities of the Presidents' Room. The works will start on Monday 29th July and are due to finish by Thursday 5th September 2024.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Air Commodore Phil Wadlow who recently became a Vice-Chair (Serving) of the Royal Air Force Club and joined the Board of Trustees.
Visitors to the RAF Club since mid-2021 may have noticed that the ground floor stairwell area by the RAF Commemorative Window has been transformed with the addition of an array of new unit badges.
