The Sovereigns’ Room

The magnificent Sovereigns’ Room (formerly the Club Ballroom), with its ornate sky-painted ceiling and mirrored paneling, creates the perfect ambience for celebrations. This lavishly decorated room, in shades of gold and cream also boasts beautiful crystal chandeliers and impressive stone fireplaces. The Churchill Bar or Presidents’ Room can be used as a reception room prior to a lunch or dinner being held in the Sovereigns’ Room.

The room was renamed in October 2018, following a visit by the Club's late Royal Patron, Her Majesty The Queen, to celebrate the Centenary year and features a new portrait of Her Majesty commissioned to mark the Club's 100th Birthday.
