'Tales of the Freedom, its history and the famous Freemen and Women over the years'
On Monday 24th June, members enjoyed a Club Lunch, Champagne reception and a fascinating talk about the prestigious Freedom of the City.
On Thursday 20th June, members and guests celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Alcock & Brown’s first transatlantic flight with a Club Dinner with guest speaker Mr Peter McMillan.
Our annual Fathers' & Daughters' Dinners took place this year on Friday 14th and Monday 17th June. Fathers had the chance to spoil their daughters with an evening of Champagne and fine dining courtesy of Executive Chef Michael Dutnall.
On Tuesday 11th June, members attended our Summer Gourmet Dinner and experienced a bespoke five-course seasonal menu created by our Executive Chef Michael Dutnall and his brilliant team, presented alongside a selection of fine wines.
For national Mental Health Awareness Week May 13th- 17th, the Royal Air Force Club held our very own ‘Wellness Week’ with a number of activities for staff designed to reduce stress and increase wellbeing in the workplace.
On Wednesay 29th May we held a 'Kamikaze Hunters' Club Dinner, which included brilliant talks from both Will Iredale, author of Sunday Times bestseller ‘The Kamikaze Hunters’, and Fleet Air Arm naval carrier pilot Keith Quilter.
On Tuesday 21st May we held a Club Dinner with guest speaker AM Mayhew, the man responsible for the planning and delivery of the RAF 100 Flypast over Buckingham Palace in July 2018.
Last spring, the Club sought applications from members to fill several vacant roles on the Board of Trustees. Applications were numerous, with many quality candidates considered.
Vice-Chairman since January 2019, John Fisher has been a Trustee since 2009, Chairman of both the House Committee since 2015 and the Centenary Building Project Board from 2016.
