Our volunteer team of Librarians have kept busy over the last few years and made the following changes in our Library:
One of the most popular sections in the Library is that containing stories about people and their exploits in the Royal Air Force. These have now been re-grouped so that biographies, autobiographies and personal memoirs are all together (as Category H1) shelved in alphabetical order using the first three letters of the subject’s name.
This should make for easier browsing as all the books about an individual will be in the same place. Books about more than one person or groups of people will continue separately as Category H3 where they are shelved alphabetically, using the first three letters of the editor or person who assembled the stories.
All the books in the catalogue are listed on the two Apple computers at the far end of the library. They also contain a facility to search for a book either by its title or by the author’s name.
