The Club was pleased to host the second of our Friends of the RAF Club events on 6th March to thank all new Friends and those Friends that continue their donations to the Club into 2023. It is through the Friends of the RAF Club that our new Lobby Refurbishment was possible so we were glad to show our appreciation through this special event.

The Black-tie Champagne-Reception and Dinner was held in the Sovereign’s Room and included a special speech by Club President AM Sir David Walker KCVO, who played a key role in HM The Queen’s State Funeral in September. Many of you will have seen Sir David behind the coffin during the funeral procession and he spoke about this experience, as well as the British Monarchy generally, as he drew on his time as Master of the Household to the late Sovereign.  There was also be a formal presentation of supporters’ pins to Silver and Gold Friends to acknowledge their generous support.
