Change to the Club Wi-Fi

Thursday 26th September 2024

The RAF Club is pleased to introduce a dedicated landing page for Wi-Fi access, enhancing our members' and guests' digital experience. The landing page has been implemented as a method of authentication for incoming guests and members, ensuring a secure connection. For GDPR and PCI compliance purposes, users are required to accept our terms and conditions, which outline usage policies and guidelines. This is a crucial step in safeguarding the Club from potential misuse, such as illegal streaming or other activities that could compromise network security. By centralising access through this feature, we continue to deliver a more personalised, efficient, and protected service for all who visit.

Connecting to the Club Wi-Fi

When connecting to the Club Wi-Fi, please choose the network RAF Club Members.

You will then be redirected to an authorisation page to enter your name and email address and to confirm you accept the terms and conditions.

Connection

You should then be connected to the Club Wi-Fi and, depending on your device settings should not have to repeat this exercise for some time.

Connection problems

If you are experiencing connection problems or the authorisation page does not appear, we recommend forgetting the network on your device before reconnecting. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. For iPhone/iPad:
    • Open the Settings app.
    • Tap Wi-Fi.
    • Find the Club's Wi-Fi network in the list of available networks and tap the blue "i" icon next to it.
    • Select Forget This Network and confirm your choice.
    • Wait a few seconds, then reconnect by selecting the network again from the list and following the instructions.
  2. For Android:
    • Open the Settings app.
    • Go to Connections or Network & Internet (depending on your device).
    • Tap Wi-Fi, and find the Club's Wi-Fi network.
    • Press and hold the network name, then select Forget Network.
    • Wait a few seconds, then reconnect by selecting the network again from the list and following the instructions.

This process resolves the majority of connection issues by refreshing the network settings, allowing you to reconnect seamlessly.

If you are still unable to connect, the Club Front Desk Team will be able to connect you to the Club’s IT Support company to assist you further.

Your data

The Club will only use the information you give on the Wi-Fi acceptance page for this specific purpose as outlined in the terms and conditions.
